What they did not manage to achieve two years ago in Brazil (defeated in the final by Germany), the Tunisian players managed to do it in the 2013 WC in Serbia. The multiple African Champions added in their trophy collection the cup from the „President Cup“after defeating China 28:23 (12:11) in the fight for the 17th place in Nis. The Tunisian players, after one victory and four defeats in the preliminary phase in Novi Sad, showed that they have a great quality and can be a great competitior. After Argentina, the girls from north of the continent gave a good handball lesson and a nice end of tournament for the Chinese team... The most efficient player by far on this evening’s match was Toumi with 12 goals... Statements after the match: Zhao Jiaqin (CHN player): "We learned a lot. We played against top teams."
