Upon proposal submitted by the Chinese organisers the International Handball Federation officially approved the logo of this year's Women's World Championship.The logo comes and changes from the shape of a jasmine flower (the province flower of Jiangsu, hosting the 2009 Women's WCh) and the pose of a woman playing handball. The logo looks like a flower which symbolises the female and also a woman doing sport. Meanwhile, the petal can be seemed as the transformation of the letter "W" ---initial of "World" and "Woman". The total logo embodies the culture of the host province and the connotation of the Women's Handball World Championship.
